As the title suggests, this is a lovely piece by Heuer. The Heuer 1614, made in France, features a distinctly 1970s design and color scheme. It was manufactured by a company called Monnin for Heuer, but it's unclear why it was produced in France, as there are no markings from Monnin on the watch. This model was made in several variants; this particular version has a fume dial with a blue sub-dial, an orange tachymetric ring, and minute marker hands, along with a date window located at 3 o'clock.
This Heuer watch is anti-magnetic and features the Swiss Valjoux 7765 movement, which has been highly regarded by many watchmakers in the past. I have a passion for watches from the 1970s; they have a unique character and charm, with brushed steel and polished sides.
Many watches from that era have significantly increased in value, and some Heuer models have skyrocketed in price beyond belief. This particular piece is on the more affordable side of the market, but it still offers great vintage appeal while bearing the Heuer name.
